What is a board-certified dermatologist?
A dermatologist is an M.D. or D.O. who specializes in medicine of the skin, hair, and nails. Becoming a board-certified dermatologist means that doctor has graduated from 4 years of college; 4 years of medical school; passed parts I, II and III of the National Boards; completed a four-year residency in Dermatology; and completed an additional Dermatology Board Exam, an intensive two-day long examination with hundreds of questions on all aspects of dermatology. Only after qualifying for and passing that exam does that doctor become a board-certified dermatologist.
Why should I choose only a board-certified dermatologist for my skin care & BOTOX TREATMENTS?
The anti-aging industry is inundated with practitioners who administer treatments and recommend products. The vast majority of these practitioners have no formal training in the services and advice they deliver — much less a medical degree that informs their practices. They are not experts.
By choosing a board-certified dermatologist, you are choosing decades of specialized scientific study, training, research, and practice.
Board-certified dermatologists have extensive training regarding facial anatomy so that they can safely administer a variety of procedures including our signature treatment, BOTOX®Cosmetic. Their rigorous education and training enables them to perform an in-depth study of the muscle movement taking place beneath the surface of your skin. Accordingly, dermatologists can determine precisely where the injections should occur and how much product is necessary. With her expertise, Dr. George can best determine the exact placement of BOTOX® to yield a natural more youthful appearance, without asymmetry or an overdone appearance.
Thanks to her expert knowledge of the skin, Dr. George can also recommend other treatments and skin care that may also enhance the way your skin looks and feels. This multi-faceted approach is the most successful when it comes to achieving the outcomes you desire.
